With the right support you can enjoy a fulfilling social life and live independently in your own home.  Your needs are unique and that is why we tailor our services specifically for you, taking into account your needs, wants and wishes, to make sure the care and support you receive is right for you.

247 Community Support was established in 2010.

Lorainne Holliday – Director

Lorainne Holliday, Director, has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years and has previously been a foster carer for young people with a range of challenges.  Lorainne is passionate about her role and believes that every individual should be encouraged to fulfil their dreams.

Debbie Craggs – Care Manager

Debbie Craggs, Registered Manager, has worked in the healthcare industry for over 15 years and has previously been the Manager of a Care Home in Darlington for over 4 years.  Debbie joined 247 Community Support in July 2010 and is dedicated to ensuring the very highest standards of support are available to everyone.

Helen Appleby – Support Co-Ordinator

Helen Appleby, 247 Community Support in August 2012 as a support worker.  Helen went on to progress into the management team and has recently completed level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care.  Although Helen is a key member of the management team, she still enjoys providing person centred support to individuals in the community.

At 247 Community Support, we pride ourselves on only delivering the very highest standards of person centered support.

 

Here at 247 Community Support we are always looking for experienced, quality Support Workers to join our very successful and friendly team.

You will need to have relevant recent experience working within the care sector and be able to demonstrate a true passion for providing consistently high quality standards of person centred support.

In return we offer good rates of pay and a full training programme:

• Health & Safety, Fire & COSHH

• Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults & Children

• First Aid

• Moving & Assisting

• Infection Control

• Food Hygiene

All our support workers complete the Care Certificate and have the opportunity to further their education with Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.

Further training is also available:

• Autism

• Epilepsy

• Challenging Behaviour

• Dols/Mental Capacity Act 2005

• Administration of Medication

Bespoke training sessions are arranged when there is a specific requirement.

Current Vacancies

We currently have a part time vacancy for experienced support workers to support individuals with learning disability and epilepsy in supported living homes.  You will need to be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and sleepovers.  Good rates of pay and training available to level 3.  Please contact us for further details
